Saturday,anyone going

Plan on going in my 21 ft Sea Hunt, keep watching swell chart and it keeps changing. Looks like it will be slick one time and the next a lot of chop, and not sure of the storms that have been popping up. I only run to the Chas 60 which isn’t far but i alway have respect for the water. What are your thoughts for tomorrow.
Yes i have 3 gps, vhs, and spot

I look at the Edisto Buoy info and I know that is out a piece and it is usually 3-4 ft or more and at the 60 it will be 1-2 when out there
I look at the wind and wave post on this site, my last trip show 1 ft at 10 sec, they don’t list the wind direction other than an arrow on the page
We headed out and turned back at the mouth of the jetties because it was a NE wind at 15-20. There were 6 ft swells at the jetties.
Trying to get better info so we have enjoyable trips. Looks like Sunday will be a better shot then

This weekend does not look good.

If you can’t stand behind our soldiers, try standing in front of them.

Anything over 15 knots, and I start getting nervous in my 22’. 'Cause if they are wrong and have underbid the prediction and it is blowin up to 25 out there . . . . that chop makes it really rough.

I would sit this one out. Even in a 28 foot boat it would be rough. Throw in a storm and your in trouble.

Thanks, looks line inshore this weekend. What sites do you use to determine if you are going out. I feel safe in my boat and have been going out since a kid but still i am careful and have wasted a lot of Saturdays thinking it was going to be good and only turned back. Bet your bottom dollar Monday when we return to work it will be slick as glass. Lol

I like magic sea weed (nice Android app) for the close to shore stuff. Usually the Folly pier prediction is right on, but I only run to 4ki and the other near shore reefs, I don’t have the confidence yet to run way out yet.

I plan on staying inshore this weekend. My lower back kills me the day after running in that 4 foot at 6 seconds stuff anyway.
