Great late afternoon low tide fishing yesterday. I got the slam with 18" flounder, 21" red and 2 trout 15 and 18". Caught 2 throw back flounder and 3 short reds also. Oh yeah, and a big blue cat grabbed my gulp shrimp and broke me off. All on copper penny gulp shrimp with trout eyes jig head. Work it sloooow!

Nice haul.
For a cheap fish bag. Samsclub has soft coolers for $5.95 (for putting your groceries in). Double bag them with some ice/frozen water bottles. Perfect length for slot reds, will hold 2 red limits and some flounder/trout.
They leak and wont hold ice long unless double bagged but for under $15 it’s a killer deal.
one cooler, more ice. fish beer or nothing on my boat.

talked to a couple 20-something HeyBo’s at the ramp once, they informed me they had caught a couple nice flounder from their very expensive skiff but had let them go despite a desire to eat them because they “didn’t want to get the Yeti dirty”. for the life of Barbawang, he may never understand the decision making processes of others.
I grew up drinking fish flavored drinks, a beer doesn’t even taste right without some fish juice on it.

A little blood light won’t hurt anyone. I’ve been doing it for years and I’m absolutly fine! Just ask my shrink. My father in law takes issue with my fish/beverage practices as well. Small boat gotta save all space I can!!

Isnt that just pitiful? I throw most of my fish back too, just because my household aren’t fish eaters. But have a cooler that’s too expensive for fish on a boat no less? Ummmmmmmmmm…$30 igloo 20 years old works great.

You wouldn’t mix the Bud Lights and fish but one time striper fishing. They poop all in the water and during the spawn of course the cooler looks like milk.

It’s all madness fatrat. Just spending time on the water and sometimes you get ER done. My method is anytime spent in the great creation on the water or in the woods is a blessing beyond what many people in this world get to experience! A smile on my face every time I trailer the boat fish or skunked.
