Saturday first real time out

Me and three buddies headed stright out about 515am. Lures in by 730 or so.
First hit at 9 in 72 degree water, in 180ft dolphin. Shortly pick up one more slinger and one gapher. Went to 300 foot and cought one more.

Decided to head to the reef and bottom fish and saw a great weedline at 140-144ft water temp was 75-76. Caught 13 there some gapfers and some slingers.

All caught around 12-4pm. Ended up 17 dolphin my second time out. We had two guys that have never been and are hooked now. Great day.

Oh most were caught on chartreuse and white, and blue white, two were caught on red black. Some were home made rigs that worked great but they run between 1ft to top. They have a 5/8 oz sinker in the heads.

From one foot to the top is best. I think you want some to skip along the top…just like a flying fish. There is a time tested lure out there that does the same thing that’s deadly…Starts with a Cedar…ha ha…

Good job!

If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.
