Saturday Fishing Report

Made our annual trip to TN to fish Lake Cherokee last Wednesday. So I don’t get long winded the trip was good but fishing was terrible. Five boats made the trip and just guessing but probably less than a dozen Stripers caught in three days. We headed back to Columbia on Friday so we could get a day on Murray before my vacation ended. We started in R2 and caught some nice keepers…moved to T1 and again caught some keepers although a little smaller…moved to L12 (yes a long boat ride) and saw lots of bait, fished with no takers. We then moved up from there (25 minute boat ride should suffice for coordinates ) and caught 6 nice keepers. On the way back down to the landing we stopped at P1&Q1 and caught several more on DR’s. Total 24 fish with 8 or 9 shorts…great day on the water after a tough three day trip in TN. We are lucky to have Lake Murray in our back yard!

When you say “up”…I take it you mean up river?

I tried to get out Sunday afternoon, but family said otherwise. You did see a lot of bait around Blacks Bridge area? That’s where I was going to go Sunday…

David,
I did not really notice a large amount of Bait around BB or in the river channel, but I was not looking very close either…

“My biggest worry is that my wife (when I’m dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.”

Sounds like a great day to me! Looks like I’m going to be working 7 days this week and will not be able to get on Murray.

I got excited when I saw this. I'll be really happy when people start mentioning L2. Hopefully me!
