How much if at all, will this recent cold snap effect the fishing? I am contemplating a trip down Saturday but don’t want to waste my time. I know, I know, any day spent on the water is a good day but I do have some things I should do this weekend (but don’t want to) and a tank of gas is not cheap entertainment.

Did pretty well yesterday on the reds. If you can find them, they will eat. Artificials did ok (especially slathered in pro cure!), but after a while, dead shrimp on a hook is all I could get them to eat. Myself and Mbrady caught 20 or so in a few hours. Bigger fish were on soft plastics, smaller fish but more of them on the sckrimps. Mid incoming tide, water was gin clear.
