Took my son inlaw. Not on water till 8 back at house 9:30. Used only trolling motor, never started outboard. Caught 5 nice keepers. Had 4 hit at same time, got them all in boat. Gave one to the only boat near us. He could not get a strike.
Good stuff! Y’all should have fished longer. I found the bite to be good all day with 20+ keepers and several 9-12 pound fish. I covered a lot of water, and they were biting everywhere I stopped. The only downer was losing a 20+ pounder. When she crashed the bait behind the planer, it sounded like a cinder block being dropped from a high dive. After several minutes on the fight, she got into a brush pile and that was all she wrote… A great day nonetheless!
