Saturday Hartwell reprot

Hit the water before daylight Sat am to get launched before all the greenfish guys, note to all do not listen to you boat radio ALL day the day before while doing yard work. It is not good on the battery:frowning_face::frowning_face::frowning_face:

Took me a couple of minutes to switch everythng over to electronics battery and you got it the bass boys were having a stroke even though they do not blast off till 7 am (it was just a little after 6.

Anyway hit one creek channel in the dark and when sun came up I could see it was very muddy so I moved down toward main lake.

Hit a several spots just looking and no takers. Finally went to one of my old stand by spots and the spotted bass were killing my baits, little rascals will hit a herring almost as big as they are.

Finally ended up with one striper caught and released, did not move around too much since I had to be home by noon.

I did drag u rigs back to the dock without a bite.

Not seem to mark many fish lately, not sure but I think this deal with the US Army Corps of Engineers not running water to help fill Hartwell back up may be affecting the stripers.

Anyway May will be here Friday and that is normally the time the start coming back down the rivers and eat anything that swims by

Spent the better part of Saturday out there riding around. Came up on some small hybrids schooling and caught 9 or 10. The shad are still very small. All of them were caught on a 2 inch mirror lure but 2, and they were on a baby Rattle Trap. Spent about 45 min fishing at sunset
