My oldest son wanted to go fishing Saturday. Hit Bushy Park landing at the crack of 11. Low was scheduled for 1:45 or so and I figured I had plenty of water at the landing. Got the chance to meet Bugs at the landing as he was pulling out. We ran back up into a creek and set up at spot 1. Produced a nice slot red for my son with a piece of cut mullet. We had mudders, frozen shrimp and frozen mullet for bait. We tried a little bit of everything. Spot 2 produced a nice blue cat. Lost the cat at the boat when Bandit (my Boykin) bit at the fish and it came off. Lol. Fished a little while longer and decided it was time to depart when the rain started. Never rained real hard, but enough to make the run to the hill cold and wet. Pulled the boat out just as the rain picked up. A good day on the water. Cut mullet fished on a Carolina Rig produced the redfish and shrimp on a Carolina Rig produced the catfish. Forgot the camera so no pics yet. Got some phone pics, but need to upload and will post later.
