Saturday Mar 22 2014 report

Mid/upper lake, 5 solid keepers, largest was 8.25lbs. Our 4 best would have weighed about 27.25lbs. Not a lot of quantity but the quality was decent. We didn’t fish the tournament that was held, just fished with the kids for fun. Caught a couple largemouth as a bonus. We did have 5 or 6 short “almost keepers” released.
All planer board bites. Nothing with a weight was hit.

That’s interesting Billy. About everything I caught yesterday was on a splitshot line. When I met up with y’all, you know I headed off in the opposite direction. Things really started to pick up until I ran out of bait. It was good to see you guys. When we teamed together, Brad and I fished all those areas with good success March-the beginning of May most every year. I know I might be tipping off general location, but it’s a big creek:smiley:

Good report thanks. I caught a few this weekend but I had a tough time. I had not fished in two weeks and it sure showed.

Fog - yeah…we were surprised…the weighted free line, the cork rod and the weighted planer lines all went untouched. Wild. You never know. Those fish are crazy anyway…their likes and dislikes change on a daily basis!
Good to see you out there as well.
