Saturday morning 60 run

Taking the new boat out to the 60 if the weather holds out. Are the Spanish still around? I know it’s late in the season but wouldn’t mind trying on the way out or in. Anyone have luck trolling around the bouys outside of the jetties recently? New to fishing outside of the jetties but not a novice boater by any means and want to make the most out of every trip. Have 2 kids under 2 and military so I don’t get out often. Any other tips would be appreciated.

You might want to hold off on that trip. It’s showing 3-4’ with a NE wind, which means its gonna be bumpy out there, and not the best “kid friendly” forecast. Thank you for your service!!

Yeah I would be careful running outside the jetties with that wind in an 18 footer. Sunday may be a little better but too early to tell.

Spanish reports are getting more hit or miss. As long as the water is above 78 the spanish can usually be found. I saw some in the stono river and inlet like a week ago.

Went out Wednesday but unfortunately I had a medical emergency we had to go back in for but on the way ran into the largest school of Spanish and blues I’ve ever seen. It looks like it’s stretched on foe Acres. It killed me not to be able to stop and throw to them. They were about eight or 9 miles out of the Jetties and in about 40 feet of water.

Go BLUE! “I swear I’ll be back to the dock by dinner time”
