Saturday night report

My dad was in town for the weekend so we went out Saturday morning. Only caught one fish and missed a few. Had something big pull me into the trees. I had my herring about 10’ above the trees and couldn’t stop him, he knew right where to go. Went back out around 7PM and the wind and boats had the lake pretty rough. Set up over trees in 150’ and marked fish down around 80 to 90 feet down. Didn’t have my Hydroglow, but I have green LED strip lights on the side and bait started to stack under us. Only caught one 22’ fish down at 90’. decided to try fishing up at 25’ and to my surprise the bait stayed very healthy. Ended up catching 4 more 10 to 30 feet down. 2 were 23" one was 24" and 1 was about 18". Was very surprised to see fish up that high in the water

Glsd to you see you got on some with your dad in town. We got them this morning at 85’ off the bottom, but talked to a friend that was out at the same time and they also got most deep , but picked some up from 30-40’ range as well.

We did most of our catching this morning in 85-90’ of water with most fish coming 4-5cranks off the bottom. Did mark some more bait around 15-25’ and had plenty of scattered marks from 30’ to the bottom but the majority were deep so that’s were we kept lines.

did catch 4 power reeling today. We usually only get 1-2per trip doing this, guess it helped they were scattered throughout the water column.
