Was out in it earlier. Early this morning, it wasn’t bad, winds 8-10kts with consistent 3ft seas. Maybe the occasional 4 footer every now and again. Period was about 4-5 seconds, but it wasn’t bad…if you picked your direction carefully. We ran north to y-73 and was mostly running parallel to the swells the entire time… Ran 30kts out and 30kts back. I actually was surprised.

Hit post too quick. (continued) wind kicked up when we hit the shipping channell and things were starting to get rough. 15kt cross winds and white capping conditions. If it continues I wouldn’t even think about going out tomorrow. Dreamin-on’s forecast looks about right considering what I saw at about 3pm. I hope this helps.

The way it looks right now, I wouldn’t try it tomorrow unless I had a big boat.

we believed it so much we stayed at the dock and built a fish cleaning station, talked to a charter that came in and they said we were smart to stay at the dock…
Just for anyone who was following this conversation I did decide to go and it was a little rough but not enough to stay at the dock. Ran out at 25 knts to the SW Banks and back at the same, not many boats out there as a matter of fact only 2 others all day. The wind and the waves were bearable but the scattered broken up weedlines were annoying. Picked at the mahi and got a handful, nothin great but beats working in the yard. All and all it was fun in sun with no major problems but the wind never did switch and the sea never laid down enough to go out into the deep.
