saturday on the Stono

Friend and I headed out around 8:30am to catch the incoming tide. Headed out to Stono inlet, got there about 3 hrs before high tide and the water was already up in the grass. Two quick breakoffs and then a couple of hours of nothing. Moved to Kiawah flats and couldn’t find anything except a bald eagle and pelicans eating fish. Back up the stono and stopped at a spot near Johns Island airport and finally landed a red?20in caught on cut mullet on the bottom as the tide started coming out of the grass. That was it! But it sure was a nice day on the water. Calm and slight east winds. We could see all the rain off in the distance around West Ashley and N. Chs. but nothing out towards Kiawah?.
No camera, no pictures but it was nice out!

yep, Sat. on the coast was a great day.
Took my son and daughter to the Mt. P. fishing pier and let them catch pinfish. we had reel fun.

We sat on the porch and watched the rain roll into West Ashley late that morning, it was cool to watch it come our way and pass on by. What a gorgeous day, even though nothing was interested in what we were serving during that incoming tide either!
