Well finally got a good day of weather and headed out with Capt. Larry on the Voyager. Caught a mix bag of bottom dwellers BSB, Vermillions, Hog Snappers, Rainbows, along with plenty of rudderfish. Highlight of the day was an 8ft tiger following us and someone hooked a 9ft lemon. Great trip overall.
Hog snappers…as in more than one on R&R?

A lot of people call white grunts hog snapper. But if they caught hogfish that would be pretty cool!
They looked like hogfish in the face for sure but they were dark in color with small purple stripes. I don’t knpw if these were juvenile or not but I am thinking they were not.
spanish grunt?
“mr keys”
