Went out Saturday morning not sure what to fish for. Tried for Catfish in some of my usual spots and didn’t get a nibble. Went up the Black River where I’d seen the Reds working the bank the weekend prior and caught one right away on a shrimp. Thought, yea, we’re going to slay em (we didn’t). Caught another and then a Catfish. Buddy had something very large hooked up only to have it come unbuttoned after fighting it around the boat once (pretty sure it was a Red). Not much else other than a sunburn. You sure this is January?
4 reds and a nice flounder on Saturday. Water was real muddy on the falling tide. New Penny Gulp Shrimp out fished finger mullet.
