Launched from Bushy at around 645 to look for some trout. Little foggy but the water was calm and no wind and the gnats took full advantage. Didn’t find much in the bushy area so headed towards the wando. That was a good choice… Caught over a dozen trout. Alot Of 12-13" trout in the water I swear. All caught on yellow trout eye jig heads and pearl minnowz. Took a few for supper. Good day overall.

Optiker, love the jig heads they simply work. Also, really enjoy your reports. I am always looking out for them, a lot of great information. I’m catching plenty of trout, now to find the Reds. Past years it has been the other way catch a bunch of reds a very few trout but it’s been going the other way here lately.

looking forward to getting in the water this weekend. Opiter is a good source to get much needed information from and he also turned me on to those trout eyes.

Fatrat, go find you some trout you have been looking for. They are there… Picked them up right when the tide turned and start coming back in. Now for me to find all those bushy reds you stay on top of. My post some how doubled up, not sure how that happened.

Also, fatrat I know you launch from bushy there’s a warning post about something large and metal in the channel just off the dock. Just a heads up…

I got my first keeper of the year last night! 17"
Got my first 18 inch trout of the year in the cast net. She was lying in less than a foot of water, gorging on mud minnows.
Found plenty of very skittish finger mullet, and MM’s, no shrimp.
