Well I just received news that I’ll be driving solo down to Savannah Friday morning for a bachelor party over the weekend. Given that I’m no longer riding 5 hungover dudes deep I’m debating taking my kayak and fly rods. (The rods are always with me) Last year I did this and was able to swing through Charleston and fish, but it’s just too far out of the way this go round. I’ll have all day Monday to hit a spot or two around Savannah or Hilton Head. Would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction for a put-in within paddling distance of some spots? I’ve been scanning Google Earth and the marshes around Savannah look more difficult to access than areas around Hilton Head. Is Pinckney a good option? Looks like there could be some wadeable flats around there, though its tough to tell on the internets and I know better than to mess with pluff mud. Is access to Pinckney allowed?
If need be I’ll gladly trade for intel on fishing spots in Virginia, the Outer Banks or Colorado.
Thank you in advance for the help!
