I’m wanting to learn some new striper fishing spots. Does anyone have any info they would like to share regarding fishing the upper Savannah near Augusta? I’ve never fished on that river so any info pertaining to ramps, navigation problems, etc. would be appreciated. I have a 14ft johnboat w/25 motor.
Go to the Greenville Striper Kings site. Get on the striper board and go back a month or so. There is a link to a video done by the Ga dnr all about the Savannah river. It is great. I just may get down there and fish it one day. Drove over it last Saturday coming back from Orlando and wanted to wet a line big time!!!
Thanks, Redstripe, I’ll check out the video. Yeah I’ve heard that the stripers are doing well there after the moratorium they’ve had for several years.Thought I might try fishing it in late March or early May.
Hey Redstripe, Awesome video, thanx. That 42 pounder had some shoulders. Quite a success story on the Savannah. Here’s the link for the rest of ya:
What a great video! Makes me want to attach a stun gun to my rod!
