SC Kayak Fishing Team

Has anybody on here ever thought about starting or is there a saltwater sc kayak fishing team or club/group/organization??? I know some states like Fl, Tx, Ga, and Va ha e teams and a website…it would be nice for kayak anglers in SC to come together and form a team and we could enter tournaments like the Jacksonville tournament in Fl as well as the IFA. So im asking some of the diehard kayak angler lets get together and form a team. If you are interested reply to this post and then we all can get together and iron out the details.

I’d be interested, especially for out of town stuff. Split the gas, hotels, scouting time, etc. Probably a few others would be interested as well (Hint:Carter)

I was thinking the same thing

I am not team worthy at this point based on my limited yak fishing experience but, I suggest a CF contest to name your team.

see if we get enough people interested…we can list some possible names…people on the team would have sponsorship connections…i have MirrOlure, Fins superline, Pro-Cure, and Columbia Sportswear, with the connections we could get the team sponsored together for tournaments

Im Down

I’d be interested. I’d like to go back to my old Jax stompin grounds and show them how I do it SC style now!

All Day I Dream About Fishing

I would be in for some sort of a team or club. But if you have to be able to catch fish to be on the team, you might want to count me out

Check with Tony Narcisse(Pescador) or Zach Yurchuck(Zachyak)
for info. Tony and others started the club. I post there as Bill D.
The club has a tourney at Tybee Island every year and many members are salt water folks. Tommy Samuels(Toobusy) posts there also.
Good luck in building a Club!

I would be down for sure! My work schedule is all over the board though so its hard for me to commit to anything.

A local team would be great. Getting decent sponsorship can be a challenge. Z-Man is local and they’re awesome for supporting tournament fishermen. I’ve got a few other connections that may pony up.

we have a couple of kayakers here in Georgetown who may also be interested in a team event. Keep us posted.

So i believe the next step are…we come up with a name…submit dates for possible meet up so everybody can meet and greet…as well as little fishing ( dont get me wrong its all about the fish on the end of the line…lol). We could all talk about what we would like to see happen, plan tournaments to go to, also we could make up a contact list so everybody has each members info, talk about sponsorship opportunties for the team. Pretty much just iron out the main details… how do yall feel about having like team captain??? Or would you rather have like everybody vote and decide as a team…no leader just whatever we vote on we put it in action?

If anybody can think of some other ideas or suggestions that would be great. If i had to suggest a leader i would say TooBusy (Tommy ) or lost@sea ( Justin Carter aka IFA champ ).

Carter gets my vote. My handle is Too Busy for a reason

We will be at the ville on Dec 27th and if conditions call for a change we will be going to the wando…looking to catch a few reds and sea trout.

Any suggestions for a name?? How about a meet and greet after Jan 1st as well as location to meet up??

This might sound stupid…but do you have to be from SC?
