How do you prepare them besides using Old Bay.
I usually just hit them with some salt and pepper and a little lemon juice. Would like to try something new though.
What say ye?

Wrap in THIN bacon and GRILL till the bacon is crispy! OH MAN! If you want, hit at the end with a dash of Teriyaki sauce!

Trout…MMMMMMMMMMMMMM…trout
i like this -
make a marinade of EVOO, lemon (or lime) zest, fresh thyme, tiny dash of cayenne pepper, and fresh ground black pepper. marinade for an hour or so. right before cooking, season with kosher salt and a squeeze of lemon (or lime).
to cook - either do on a very hot grill or sautee in a little EVOO in a very hot pan. right before they are done squeeze a tad of which ever citrus you used to season with over them.
pro tip - if your scallops are big, slice them half horizontally. that way you can get them cooked just right. i find if too big they never get done and when they are the outsides are over cooked
congratz

EF, what’s the seasoning in your hand in picture 5.
I like Hoppy’s cause it looks a little healthier but when I go all out I shall be wrapping those suckas in bacon.
That’s a ■■■■ good looking photoblog there.

“Lightly sprinkle” Blackened Redfish Magic on them heat iron skillet to medium, throw in tablespoon of butter reduce to low as butter sizzles and toss them for five minutes
If that doesn’t work for you, open a small one right out of the water and eat it immediately and you won’t be disappointed!
sprinkle with salt & pepper. cook some applewood smoked bacon in a cast iron sillit. remove bacon. saute the scalops for 3-4 minuits in left over bacon grease. remove the scallops. add 3/4 stick butter to cast iron pan. when butter melts…add some flour. mix unitl thick. Add more lemon juice, broth, and heavy cream. stir…scaping up bits of bacon and scallop that where left stuck to buttom. This sauce is awesome! drizzle over scallops. Done.
I like your styley EF!!! Bacon, scallops, Patron, Stella… That is how you educate your palate!!!
