hooked up with reelfish01, my friend pepe from fla. and the cpt crew out of Mt.P, James C, His girl friend and cuz. Had a plan to buddy boat with Miss Emily We wanted to try some hook and line before diving fearing the vis would still be bad. Jordanonayak aboard Miss Emily headed to 100’ to try them out.we headed out to some of erics #s in 160’ and he took us to school on fishing with butterfly jigs! pepe put two 12/15lb class scamps in the boat before I could hook up the electramates. eric did the same before my team kicked in gear and the bliners and pinks started comming over the rail two at a time. I matched their scamps and eric put a nice gag aboard on the jig. as soon as the moon went down the bite turned off. headed into meet our buddy boat and Miss Emily was not having much luck. we made two dives in 100’ and the fish we had been seeing were gone. Don’t know if the turnover from the last two storms were the reason but the fish were no were to be found! talked to several other friends that were fishing in 100’ and the same story.
Had a great weather day and lots of fun. james was sea sick all day and spent most of it in the been bag and this was a close as he got to a fish

I think James and cuz spending the night in charleston drinking shots was a good idea, you can see I ended up with the gril and the meat! The bug catcher can still catch em!

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.
Great report Bug Catcher. We will certainly have to do that again soon. We didn’t bother diving because every time we dropped the camera down we saw poor viz and not many fish. We did end up with a boat load of BSB, vermilion, and trigger fish but we had to run into 59’ to do it. We dropped the camera on the charleston 60 and the viz was a solid 10" so we headed home, after loosing an anchor to a parted rope. Next weekend is a total blowout but who knows two weeks for now. If the weather looks good I will give you a call and we can hit some of our north lobster numbers if you are interested.

-My biggest worry is (when I’m dead)my women will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it-
always ready to go jordan. looking at my log, we were smoking the grouper in 65/70’ last year. they should show back up soon. the boat is a 33’hydra sport, kept under the bridge. I met eric the owner on the match up page back in may. he was looking for some folks to hit the ledge trolling. we have become good friends and fishing/diving partners. I have met some frist class fisherman on this site and have made many close friends. its a great way to hook up and the only time I have taken my boat out this year was to take the wife to shem creek to dinner.
If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.
Ed,
Looks like like a nice table fare! Gregg is a top knotch guy. I don’t know if you have ever been on his boat, but it is a smooth ride. Nothing like a cat!
