Scarp 6-13-08

Left LR Inlet at 5:30 lines in at the Scarp 8 ish - caught 5 dolphin (2 gaffers, 3 slingers) 2 kings, 2 cuda - and missed 5-6 fish. Saw a sail just south of the jungle, 70 foot of water. Couldn’t believe a sail that shallow - he jumped twice to the starborad side of the boat.Anyway, islanders were the lure - blue/green and pink/ white

Aquasition, sounds like those new rigs worked well for you?! Glad you boys got on them, bet youre really hooked now. Cant wait till you deck one those slob wahoos!

sorry if this is a stupid question but i am just starting to learn about fishing offshore, but what do you mean when you say “jungle”?

Thanks again for the help on the rigs, it made a huge difference. It’s a lot more fun burning 140 gallons when you’re catching fish.

Harley Pirate, The Jungle is an area about 18 miles off of Little River Inlet. Hard bottom but the name is derived from all the species that have been caught there(a little of everything over the years).

Aquasition, Glad I could help out…make sure to call the guy that taught you how to make those other rigs, have him meet you somewhere then kick him in the A$$ for wasting all that fuel for you. I bet that Marlago looks better with blood on the deck and fish in the box though.
