Scarp 6_7_08 w/pics

Fished the scarp on Fiday with some friends and had a good day all around. Heading out of the inlet @ 4:15 we saw our neighbors cut the last corner a little short and were up on the beach. Somehow we managed to get them off (both engines and the drain plug were high and dry) and got going again. Lines in at about 7am and 45 minutes later the bite started. First fsh on was a small wahoo, then a double header of dolphin 30 min later, a couple of spit hooks and short strikes for the next hour or so, a few bailers, a nice bull that put a hurtin’ on my buddy Jeff from Michigan, a very nice bull that we got to the boatside and in the hustle to gaff- he got really lucky. Next the shotgun went off and a blackfin tuna saw the icebox after bringing in 200 yards of line. My largest cuda so far hit the shotgun as well creating a lot of excitement, sore arms and then dissappointment (realizing it was not a big hoo at boatside) and then we caght a few more bailers and cows over the next several hours. We decided to stop and drop the jigging rods for a while hoping for a grouper or more tuna. We didn’t manage to get our target but we did manage to jig a 20lb little-tunny, another dolphin and a triggerfish in 30 minutes time. The weather was fantastic all day and made good time getting back.

You need to do the posting and let your over-anxious pal save the fish stories for the grandkids. Good example of a legit report vs. a googan report.

Great job sounds like a good day on the pond congrats
