Left the dock Friday morning at about 5:30 with Jules, my dad, my nephew and Mike. It was a little bumpy heading out so we slowed to about 25kt. Lines in around 8 and the first bite came @ 10:23 on the stbd outrigger (pink/white seawitch/med. ballyhoo). As Julie pulled back on the throttles and we got my nephew in the belt, the stbd flat line took off. So it was dad and Ben fighting their first ever Mahi’s. What seemed like an eternity later, both were on ice. 2 Hours later a skyrocketing Wahoo in the spread but spit the hook and then a peanut we gave back o grow. Next was another gaffer followed by another missed wahoo. Then as we were discussing heading back, the outrigger clip popped and our last dolphin of the day landed in the cooler. The ocean was like glass all day and we were able to run home in the mid to upper 30’s with ease. Pics on my site in the Picture Gallery (link below)
