Fishin’ Physician, here, thanks for the plug gtownrat. I left the dock at Ocean Isle at 9:30 am letting the wind die and the seas settle down with my 75 year old father-in-law. We were fishing at the Scarp by 11:45. I had to quit by 3:30 pm because my father-in-law was seasick.
He missed the first wahoo but got the second one wbich was a nice 41 pounder and good for a NC Citation, and the biggest fish he has ever caught! But then he was done due to seasickness. So, I was basically solo for the big one. It was about 5 ft 4 inches long and 70 pounds and 7 ounces and good for another NC Citation. We also added a 25 # King. Ilanders work well! Bad news is that I had come down for the Martini’s Wahoo tournament but opted out because of the weather. How would it have done on today’s leader board?
