went south to fish with tqusmc22 on the splittail out of jax so i could send ya’ll a scouting report. met many phins and every one was headed north in the stream. lines in at 149’,74deg on a pretty ocean, one knockdown as we were putting lines in, slinger. did not get bit again untill 550’. temp went from 74 to 78deg. action began to pick up at around 9 and increased all morning.good way to start as this was the frist trip out this year for the boat. with just three of us on the boat the action was steady with two and three fish on at time. we landed every fish that took drag and saw many pnuts in the spread.went through three bags of b/hoos. ended up with 22 decent fish, releasing a few small ones to the fish gods and internet fishing dems. rigging naked hoos with the bridle and circle hooks i learned aboard the JMC last week was a killer! fish prefered dark swiches untill the bite was on, then it didn’t matter. headed in around 2 to try a secret bee liner #, but the ars had eaten all of them! great day on the water with my son and old friend (old as dirt)who after two fish said he was done, untill we handed him another one, time and time again. he landed most of the fish with little wineing as the old trooper that he is. good job charlie!
