SCDNR Volunteer Tagging Program

Maybe you have participated in tagging fish for DNR in the past or reported the recovery of tagged fish you have caught. You understand the concept. Lots of anglers would still like to participate in a volunteer tagging project. With limited funds and staff, DNR cannot afford to supply all the tagging equipment (as we have done in the past, free of charge) to anglers who never use the tags.

Here’s the question: Would you purchase a tag gun (about $30 from any number of online retailers) and we supply the tags, data cards etc. free of charge, to participate?
