SCENTED Lures VS. UNSCENTED Lure Test!

I switched between a scented lure and a lure with no scent added to test which one would catch more fish! The two lures used were GULP Swimming mullet (4inch): https://amzn.to/3tpts4N and a Bass Assassin paddle tail (Electric chicken): https://amzn.to/39u8biU

Here’s the video if you want to see how it went: https://youtu.be/OebxIn1A3j0 If you enjoy that check out the weekly videos I am posting!

Some nice fish out of those little creeks.
Good job.

I did this same test/experiment and found its species and time of year make a difference. Trout it doesnt matter much because they strike quick and to reactions but reds and flounder scent makes a difference. Especially flounder a lot of people dont know that flounder like to follow baits. When your fishing for slow winter reds is when scented vs unscented shine the most.

One needs to find a copy of The Scientific Angler by Paul Johnson. He was the one who developed the scented baits for Berkley and the book tells of his experiences underwater while observing people fish. It will change the way you handle your gear. His original charge was to find a fishing line invisible to fish, Low Vis Green was the out come, Gulp was an important byproduct.

Like the information. Keep it coming as I fast forward to updating my scented for this time of year.

Thanks for the tip, grabbed a copy from the library and have about 100 pages left, good read!

You salt and pepper your food right? We all love flavor:+1:
