Been hearing all the reports about schooling I had heard enough. I figured with the rain an the cloud cover it would be pretty good. Left the dock about 6:15 took about 20 mins to find once I found them in the mid lake area it was on. They stayed up for about 25 mins . Got 7 in the boat all keepers back at the dock by 7:15. My buddy next to me cought one about 12 lbs.
all cought on double fluke rig and jr.spook
Thats a good way to rig them. I have never seen that method. I rig mine by tying the first hook on and leaving a 18-20" tag line off the knot then tie the 2nd hook onto the tag. But I only use this method using straight braid no mono. My method doesn’t work with mono. The back hook will break off using mono.

Ok, I’ve got that part. Now, where do you find the 7" flukes? I’m always on the look out when I go to Sportsman’s Warehouse, But all I can find are the smaller ones.

I’ve never seen them at sportsmans but the new academy in harbison has them an u can order them online at tackle warehouse
Not many people sale them for some reason. There made by ZOOM in the 5 inch I like strike king’s
Richard has some up at lake world bob. He has the 3-4" “baby flukes”, 5" super flukes and the 7" magnum flukes… dont be afraid to use a big hook in those flukes. Just my .02 I use a 4/0 in the 5".
The diameter of the wire of a 3/0 vs a 4/0 is night and day. I have bent many 3/0’s but cant budge a 4/0+
