Scrambler XT for sale !!!!!SOLD!!!!!

Yep, thats right, I’m getting rid of her. Everything inside the yak comes with the yak. It’s in great shape. With the kayak you’ll be getting a paddle, bait bucket, crate with lid which has two rod holders attached, three built in rod holders, anchor with trolley system, seat with back, the works. All she needs is a new owner. Measures in at 12 ft, I’m pretty sure of that but not completely positive. I’m asking $400. Any questions just drop me a PM.

The good ol Scrambler XT! Correct at 12 ft, basic hull weighs in around 50 lbs. Modeled after the original Scrambler which was the worlds most popular sit on top kayak ever produced. The XT was made a little bit larger then the Scrambler to accomodate more folks and give it better tracking, it is a great all around kayak for fishing, surfing or just cruisin round the rivers and beach.
Both Scrambler models have been discontinued by Ocean Kayak unfortunantly. Seems like they are discontinuing a lot of the old proven models.

Great info Russ! Its a great yak, what a shame is discontinued…I love this thing. It’s landed me some nice fish!

Definitly used to be one of my favorite yaks, but then again I’m biased, My brother in law and I carved out the original prototypes and tested them then I made the mold for it!

Yeah im not looking to make a huge sale on it, actually selling it to fund something else. On top of that its brought me a lot of fun and good times, no point on jacking the price on something thats going to do the same for someone else.

Question: Are there any numbers (serial number, boat hull number) on this boat?

If there are I don’t know of any.

haha way to throw me under the bus Waldo! I’ll check for the SN in the AM guys, is there a reason you’re looking for the SN Dilly?

ps that one time I out fished you was glorious.

Just wondering if I can get it registered for a trolling motor. I don’t think Scrambler XT’s have numbers on them.

It will have a serial # engraved or stamped into the port side stern and also on the bow or inside one of the hatches if so equipped at factory. They MUST have the number engraved in two places on every boat. If there is not one on it whatsoever, you could come out of it with several brand new Ocean Kayaks by calling them and informing them of such and telling them you are going to give the boat over to the Coast Guard who enforces that.

Long time past at O.K. a kayak made it to a trade show with no number on it and a CG officer happened to notice it and we promptly recieved a letter from them threatning like a $10,000 fine or something as a manufacturer. I had to write them a long letter saying how we were going to a 3 point inspection process for the numbers and that this would not happen again!
