SCSSA Sailfish 30** August 11

We will be hosting our 30th annual sailfish tournament THIS Saturday. It was postponed from a couple of weekends ago due to the weather- hopefully NOAA won’t give us a gloom and doom forecast. Captain’s meeting will be at 6:30 Thursday aug 9th at Ripley Light Yacht Club on the deck of the Sadie Beth. Entry is $100 for club members, $140 for non. there will be TWT categories for billfish release and the usual meatfish categories; as always the TWT is 100% payback with nothing going to the house. Awards will be the following Tuesday at Finz. There will not be a Bohicket weigh-in due to the PGA Championship.
Have a good looking silver trophy for this year’s top release boat- it would look good in the case next to those expensive boat cleats. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

For more information, please send us a PM or visit our website www.scssa.info. It will hopefully be updated this evening.

If anyone can help out with the Camp Happy Days harbor cruise on Wednesday, please let us know. We REALLY need some more help; a couple of boats had to cancel due to schedule/mechanical issues. There are over 100 kids and family members signed up for our annual cruise and picnic. Please see the thread on Offshore Discussion for more information. thanks all!

SCSSA,

Saturday is looking like it is going to be blown out for smaller boats. Any chance of re-schedule?

Thanks

Yes. There is a decent chance it will be rescheduled for Sunday, but we put little faith in the weatherman. Forecast last weekend was for snotty conditions and it was not,

We are rescheduling due to the weather. It will most likely be the 11th of August. We will repost the topic once we nail it down for certain

Have yall set a date yet?

Weather has not been our ally this year. Building seas are pushing us to fish Sunday. Anyone interested in getting in late can do so by coming down and seeing Gage this evening on the Sadie Beth.
