Water is getting a bit chilly in my 12.5 Perception, where should I go for scupper plugs that don’t leak?
I bought those yellow practice golf balls, drilled a hole through them, put a short piece or paracord through it with a SS washer at the bottom and tied a knot making a loop at the top to use to pull the ball out of the scupper hole. Squeeze them into the hole and the water stays out. I keep 4 -5 of them on a carabiner clip inside my hull so I always have them aboard.
I use the foam golf balls too. Except I wrap them in a piece of a plastic grocery bag before shoving them in the scuppers. Since they are foam, mine have always allowed water in eventually, and the plastic stops that.

But I just shove the foam balls in the holes & pop them out when needs draining…
No biggie
So…if I want to pay my hard earned $$ for a plug I know will work. Where should I go and what kind should I get? Dick’s doesn’t have them.
Talk to Dave @ Time out. I know they have some inexpensive ones you can tie off so you don’t lose. Work fine in a Ride 135.
