Got a 1993 2502 Trophy that when full of fuel and loaded down it leans to the Starboard about 2".
When people stand on one that side water comes in… which i could deal with, but it fills up my fish box! Salt and ice don’t really mix that well.
Thought it was water somewhere, but after going on the Bayliner forum, they all do that… kinda dumb.
there is a pipe that goes from out side the transom to the deck that is about2’ long. Think i have seen that tube that has a flapper inside the tube… and one on the outside. Would not keep water in the boat if both flappers go the same direction.

the purpose of a scupper is to stop a rush of water such as a wave from backwashing into the drain. nothing I have ever seen will compensate for bad design.
Have you ever thought of pluggin the scupper on the one side? I realize it wont bail water but you could always take it out when running so water will drain out. Most scuppers are pretty big so you cant get a regular boat plug that size but about a month ago i found plugs at home depot in the plumbing section that were a perfect fit and adjustable. They were made of zinc too so they wont rust immediately. They cost about 2 dollars so if they do rust just buy another one.
I made plugs for mine out of tennis balls. Drilled a hole in them and bolted a web strap to them. When I need to pull them, grab the loop and pop them out. Depending on the size of the outlet, you could probably find something like that that would work.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

figured out a way to plug them using Salty’s design… appreciate it Mark!
After some investigating… Trophy’s from 91-97 had this issue. They figured out they are idiots and made a 240lb ballast kit to fix the problem. I guess they installed them as a recall for a while.
Pretty sure i’d rather plug the holes, instead of adding 240lbs of just weight.
Guess that is the difference of cheap boat VS Big $$$ boat.
