Why the huge difference in price? I want one for drifting over reefs and obviously if i lose power offshore to keep bow into wind. They are from $30 to $1000. there is one for like $80 that looks like it would be fine. is there really a need to spend anything about $100 on something like this?

I have 2- 8 footers I bought from Cabels a few years ago. They were about $65.00 and have worked well for me. Have used them a lot striper fishing in the lakes and a few times off shore. Check out drift socks on the net!
