Sea Dek

anybody have sea dek on there boat? any experiences you can share? I have a 19 flats boat and I want to put it on the boat. any idea how much it cost to do a boat that size?

I have been trying to get hold of someone there for 2 weeks. Either they are very busy or do not return phone calls. I got a quote for a 38" X 22" pad and they wanted $230 bucks. Seems a bit steep to me. Not sure if its worth the money.

i have a helm pad from them, and i must say it is quite awesome. definitely going on all of my future boats as well.

I have the whole floor of my Mitzi skiff done . It’s good stuff.

i just did my bolsters this past winter with it,very impressed it will be on all my future boats

We have a couple of customers who put it on their poling platforms after mounting our Flats-Top. Neat Stuff!

I would not get black (Hell’s Bay offered black from the factory) as it gets hot to stand on.

Here’s some on a crazy fast Texas flats boat:

Thanks, Captain Ross

That’s an old Sleekcraft Tunnel that’s been converted to a flats boat. A helluva job at that. It lives in New Port Richey.

I ordered a custom mat from them last week with a logo. I have heard good things and am expecting a lot based on the price I paid. We will see.

please keep us updated fishman. i ordered a template kit, i guess thats the first step if you want ur whole boat done.

We just put the Faux teak on our skiff. We ordered it from Tyler at castaway customs. Highly recommend contacting him. Ours turned out really sweet.

The Sea Dek looks cool, But MY GOD they are slow. It takes 10 business days just to get a drawing for a square pad. Then if there is a change another 10 days to change the drawing. Once the drawing is approved it takes 5 weeks for them to cut the square foam pad. I am still waiting for my first drawing.

I sure hope they are that busy because it will take 3 months to get 2 square foam pads from them for 300 bucks…

We will see.

if a square is all you need, why not just buy the raw material and cut it yourself?

Its just a square but it has a logo in it that requires machining.
