Don’t take this personally, but I had the BX22BR with the I4 Yamaha 200 and hated that motor. Probably good in a repower twin application, but pretty much worthless by itself.

Really? What year 200? Also, how was it “worthless”? I was told don’t get the 150(not enough power). Could you elaborate a little please, looking at getting into a new boat by the new year. Thank you!

Essentially the 200 is a 175. It’s not a torque monster nor a speed demon. In order to really get on plane quick, full tab. It was fairly economical, but really just a bore of a motor. Again, in a twin application, I’m sure they’re great for 150 replacement.
