I’m trying to help my buddy find a good trolling motor for his Sea Pro Bay. Can anyone recommend a economical minn kota model that they are happy with? How hard would this be to install solo?

I have the same boat with a 74lb minn kota with 3x steering, hand control. It has been great. I mounted the quick adapter on mine. You can reach the bolts through the anchor locker. I had to tape the washer and nut in a socket to reach the furthest two.
I have a 24v minn kota co-pilot on my 20ft flats boat and I am very happy with it. Its a 65lb thrust and it is plenty of trolling motor for my boat. I also like it because it has the wrist remote so you can controll it from anywhere on the boat.
