Sea Tow Charleston

I went out for an afternoon shrimping trip in north Bull’s Bay last Sunday. Well, the afternoon trip turned into an evening trip because of a mundane detail–gasoline (or lack thereof).

Anwyays I used my Sea Tow membership and was thoroughly impressed. I called the Sea Tow and office and let them know what was going on. They dispatched Doug on the Twin Vee. I was told he would arrive at 7:10 pm, as he had to run from Shem Creek. We put out the anchor and waited. I saw the yellow lights later and looked at my watch…it was 7:13 pm–impressive!

Doug also traveled slow through the bay as a thunderstorm was on the move. It was pitch black and rocking and rolling for the little boat. We dodged lightening bolts and made it safely back to the dock.

Top notch experience…for those who do not have a Sea Tow membership, get one!

Good to hear!
Been a member but like to know they will be there.
Called twice before but called back to cancel after i solved the problem myself. Were not big problems but wanted to get in line just in case.
Hope you had good luck shrimping after that!

If it ain’t broke…let me try!

Yea it is very nice to know…takes away some of the “pucker factor” in hairy situations!

I understand they keep a boat at St. Johns Marina on the Stono but don’t know how often it will be available…like any biz , I assume seasonal traffic will determine.
