Kind of like Allstate vs State Farm! Pick one:smiley:

a. didn’t come up in search.
b. looking for local knowledge of people who’ve used them.
c. son has 3 boats. he/me use different ones depending on the day. I hear some plans are only for a single boat. Or plan is for any boat.?

I have looked at Boat US & Sea Tow sites. They are adds selling them, not comparing them.

If I’m posting, its because I’m sitting here at work, dreaming about fishing.

Just because this topic has been discussed before doesn’t really mean anything. Cnsidering there could be new developments in either company’s operations that would change the conclusion of a previous thread, it’s not bad to bring it up again periodically.

So that’s what you want to add? Or are you just being difficult and obtuse:question: Whichever it is ED, you sure brought all the new changes to the forefront!
Sorry there DRMajor, Ed, just wanted to drag something over from another thread!

We were 50 miles offshore this past February. I have a Boat US membership. Needed to get in touch with them as we were having engine issues, which we eventually resolved on our own. We were unable to reach boat US on the VHF. We were able to get in touch with Sea Tow however, who were kind enough to relay our messages and the need for help to Boat US. Needless to say, switching my membership over to Sea Tow is on the to-do list.

We’re very satisfied w/ SeaTow. Had 'em for 3 years, needed 3 tows inshore (always having trouble w/ the Johnson 90). With every service they were easy to reach & were prompt.

I had a very unprofessional and poor experience with Towboat US out of charleston. However, I will give credit to the corporate office for making things right when I called to make a complaint.

I had the opposite in Gtown years ago and switched. In fairness, ST changed hands and I think have gotten better. However, I’m not switching. It’s all about the area and the presence.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

See the previous 4 comments. WHY ARE WE ALWAYS YELLING?!

Wonder why ST was able to get your signal and not Boat US?

We will probably stay inside 26 mile.

Seems everyone is happy with their choice or not?

boat us has more benefits. Never had an issue with current owner

Probably depends on your locale. Sea Tow stations a boat in Hilton Head v. Boat USA in Savannah I believe. Much quicker for Sea Tow to get to us if we are in the sound/close by.
