I’m thinking about investing in a membership to one of these two. Is one better than the other for this area? I am leaning toward Boat USA for the price but I know you get what you pay for. I am talking strictly inshore boating, I have a 16’ aluminum boat, so nothing big. I had some motor trouble a few weeks ago and it got me thinking that a towing membership would be nice to have. Any advice or past experience would be greatly appreciated.
I have boat US. With highway assistance. If your vehicle breaks down on the highway. They will tow your boat. I’ve had it for 15 or more years. Used it one time on a friend’s boat. Little River jetties the boat took a poop. Called them they were Johnny on the spot. Towed us back to landing. Signed a piece of paper and that was it.

Towboat US, great local franchise and ports all over. I’ve used them twice in the Charleston area and once down in Islamorada. Great/fast service. The best $149 you’ll ever spend.

If you have Progressive, they have a new towing option.
Boat US left my son stranded in a bank parking lot for a week in Jacksonville. They gave up trying to find someone to tow…
Had to source a temporary axle and a guy to install to drag boat 2 miles to shop…
I use Boat Us, have ever since the 70’s. BUT, just an FYI, SeaTow is on sale at Costco for $140 instead of $179.
“No… it’s okay, I know the way out…”
I have SeaTow with road assistance (10$ a year extra). Total $189.

Thanks for the help everyone.
I “believe” BoatUS has bigger tow boats… dragging a big boat off a shoal? Shop around to see what they have and what they offer where. Currently I have SeaTow but I’m considering switching for this reason. Also, my dealings with both have been fantastic.
