Have you guys seen this video? I have a hard time understanding how a plastic straw become lodged in a turtle’s nose. If it really is a consequence from trash being thrown in the ocean then I applaud them. Just thought someone on here may know more details to the story…perhaps a vet or herpetologist inserted something straw like when it was young to aid in breathing? The video is below.
DAumm! I’d say the Turtle has a serious Coke problem! In all seriousness that’s F’ed UP, but the turtle seemed to be doing fine until they started to try to remove it!
What a bunch of morons. It had obviously lived a very long time with the straw in there. It’s probably more at risk after having it sinuses ripped to shreds by the removal.
I can’t believe she though it was a hook for even a second and that they thought cutting it was a good idea…
