Seabass on fly

Caught a few seabass on the fly a few weeks ago. They seem to be pretty thick with the season closed. Catch one and his bros and sistas follow him up and throw the fly. Was doing this the other day and some huge black drum came up and ate the fly. Caught one @ 40lbs on the 10 wt. Here is a link to the video of some of the fight. If yall are out on the reef a little chum and a bug plastic will bring em up. Caught them on popping bugs a couple weeks ago. Releasing everything of course.

Nice vid. Wish I could have seen the hookup and landing of the fish…

There is no greater fan of fly fishing than the mud minnow.

That sounds like a lot of fun. My friend and I talked to you for a minute at the marina when you were working on a floating dock last week and you told us about catching them OTF. Do you mind sharing what fly you used?

Bah, that could have been anything. without pics and so forth…

haha, flats such a skeptic haha

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.
