Seadek Offshore

Have seen quite a few center consoles lately with Seadek flooring. One specific I was looking at possibly purchasing. Does anyone have experience with getting fish blood ect on it and how hard it is to clean? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Bobby-

From what I’ve read, as long as you clean it the same day, everything comes out of it.

I’m more worried about the longevity, it’s a hell of an investment to have to re-do every 5 years or so…

With you there! They sure like there product! Not ready to pull the trigger on any soon!

i have it on my charter boat, on the bridge and cockpit. it cleans up very easily with water. there are knockoffs but they will stain, wear, and pull up. you really have to spend the money and get the right stuff.
TopSide Canvas on Johns Island is the only local seadek distributor and installer.

I have the seadek on my xpress and it’s not worth the money to me. I bought this boat brand new in July and have already had 3peices come loose. It’s under warranty but getting it fixed was a nightmare, first they said they would replace it, then they said they were going to just clean the adhesive off it and reapply it. It’s easy to clean though as long as you clean it the same day as most as already said.

I am looking at a few boats that already have it installed throughout. So knowing the blood side of fishing offshore I didn’t want to get it and ruin in the next 4 months. Didn’t know if they made a spray that helps keep stains off ect. Thanks for the help guys.

Hopefully you will have some type of cover? It is UV stabilized but shows sign of falling apart at the 5 year mark if left in direct sunlight for extended periods. The 3M adhesive is some great stuff and holds this product in place very well assuming it is applied correctly. Surfaces have to be super clean with acetone wash prior to install otherwise it could come loose. Can’t imagine the nightmare of getting it loose once it wears out. I plan to redo my combing pads in it when they are due again but I have a T-top cover that stays on year round so I should be good.
