Seadek

What does anyone think about seadek on a 16 Carolina skiff. What size pad and color. Also is I squishy or is it hard?

Its good stuff. Makes it very comfortable on bare feet. Best part is very good traction even when wet. As far as color and size, get whatever you like and can afford. Its easy to cut to shape or they also have pre cut kits for specific boats. Not sure about Carolina Skiffs though.

So can I just order the sheets and cut them out as needed?

Yep. http://www.seadek.com/c-5-sheet-material.aspx

Only draw back is it is hot on your bare feet. Nothing a little splash of water won’t help though.

18’ Hewes Bayfisher/115 4 Stroke Yamaha/6’Powerpole, etc

i bought a helm pad from them a few months ago… it’s awesome. it’s thicker than the raw sheet material though. it would definitely be an improvement on the interior of a carolina skiff.

Great stuff - we have people use it on their poling platform along with our Flats-Top.

Like Goob said, it can get hot (if you go with colors), so avoid Black … white works great!

Thanks, Captain Ross

Yep, Tyler is the SeaDek master. He did my boat, love the stuff. And I disagree that it is hot on bare feet.
