Has anyone heard anything about federal waters being closed to fishing as a result of the government shutdown?
This is the only thing I have seen significant but not all federal waters.

I heard the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center has been shut down because they lease that property from the federal government. They did not answer the phone when I called to find out. Fox News just had a story about Biscayne Bay and the Everglades being shut down to all fishing because they are National Parks. Will the feds say fishing in federal waters must cease since they cannot collect landings data to avoid overfishing during the shutdown?
Thanks for the link hungryneck.
what is the difference in the cape romain wildlife refuge? Think they will try shutting this down if the gov. shutdown drags on long enough?
Don’t give them any ideas. They have already closed the access points they control.
They closed Cape Lookout National Seashore in NC.
So, if the gov’t employees aren’t available to issue permits, does that also mean they won’t be available to issue citations? Hmmm…

NCSUtrey, it looks like the enforcement arm of big brother has only gotten stronger during the shutdown. Government might not help you but it will still punish you.
Looking at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center website they do not appear to be closed.

Has anyone heard that because of the shutdown, all the aliens have escaped from Area 51 and are spreading like gremlins?
