got a seafox 25’ with a single 225 mercury efi, it tops out at about 26-28 mph when WOT, but only runs 4500 rpms, what can be done to get more topend speed, o and its already very sluggish out of the hole, i know its underpowered, can the prop be changed to get more topend and a little better out of the hole???

Has it always run like that? Have you checked the compression on all cylinders? Are you sure the boat is not holding extra weight (water) somewhere? What size prop are you running now? You either need a lot less prop pitch than what you currently have or you need your motor worked on. 2" less pitch usually yields 200-400 more RPM’s, but that boat should still hit the upper 30’s to low 40’s with no problems.
Got a SeaFox 23’ walkaround with a Merc 200 running a 19 pitch and at WOT she is running right at 50mph. You either have a prop entirely to big or some catastrophic motor failure. I am guessing the prop is entirely too big. You need to be in a 17-19 pitch I’m guessing.Good luck.
