Okay, boat-lift newbie question: I have a boat-lift now for the first time ever. And I just brought home my “new” (1999) Sea Hunt 172 Triton. I put it on the lift and raised it out of the water… is that it? Whenever I had boats in the past I was tying up to a dock. Do I still tie her up or is the weight of the boat on the lift enough to consider it secure?
Thanks,
~Brad

Brad, unless its gonna blow real hard, the weight of the boat is plenty. But (there’s always a but) keep an eye on the tides. It seems that whenever we have astronomical tides, especially when they come in conjunction with spring tides, we usually get a couple of calls where the boat on the lift has come off.
