Security Zone Cooper River Bridge Run

The Coast Guard is establishing a security zone on the waters of Cooper River, and Town Creek Reaches in Charleston, South Carolina during the Cooper River Bridge Run on
April 5, 2014 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m… The security zone is necessary for the safety of the runners and the general public during the run. Persons and vessels will be prohibited from entering, transiting through, anchoring in, or remaining within the security zone unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Charleston or a designated representative.

The security zone will create a regulated area encompassing a portion of the harbor, including all waters of the Cooper River, and Town Creek Reaches encompassed within the following points:

32? 48#8242; 32#8243; N / 079? 56#8242; 08#8243; W, thence East to 32? 48#8242; 20#8243; N / 079? 54#8242; 20#8243; W, thence South to 32? 47#8242; 20#8243; N / 079? 54#8242; 29#8243; W, thence West to 32? 47#8242; 20#8243; N / 079? 55#8242; 28#8243; W, returning to 32? 48#8242; 32#8243; N / 079? 56#8242; 08#8243; W.
