Seeds

You know when it’s about to be Spring and every store has seeds for the upcoming growing season. Does anyone know of a store that sells seeds currently for the fall/winter? Would love to be able to purchase some colder weather seeds.

Most of your feed stores carry bulk seed that is way cheaper than anything you can get pre-packaged. You can risk Pumpkin, and other squash types, but your running a risk of frost now. Kale, Collards, turnips, raddishes, onions, will make it through our winters.

Got $2.00 worth of pumpkin seed at Bennton feed and seed in Walterboro and had enough to plant a 1/4 acre. Best pumpkin crop I’ve had in several years, these summer showers have been a blessing. Second planting, first crop deer ate now have electric fence around the garden. Never had them eat pumpkins before. Side note insects seem to be worse on a fall garden than a spring one so be prepared with some 7 dust.

I know True Value Hardware usually stock bulk seeds. There is one in Mt. Pleasant and in Moncks Corner. Also Rusty Williams Feed and Seed has bulk seeds. They are located in Moncks Corner off main st. next to the railroad tracks across from Delta Pharmacy. All these places have year round seeds.
