Seeking Crab Pot Bouys EARLY Friday Near Bulls Bay

A buddy and I are heading down to Bull’s Bay and plan to arrive pretty early (7:30ish AM) and I wanna bring my pots, but I don’t have any legal bouys.

Can anyone direct me to somewhere near there (or on the way down) that will be open?

I’m coming from Camden.

Much thanks!

I don’t have any…

I used to use “illegal” ones. LOL. Gonna go full-fledged legal now.

The place mentioned above will not work. We’re coming from the NE and plan on putting in at Buck Hall.

Any other ideas on the way in?

Maybe the Icehouse in Georgetown or Tailwalker Marine?

Bulls Bay Supply on 17 in McCellanville.

BOB

There is a hardware store on 17 outside of Murells Inlet.

Go to Lowe’s and get a PVC pipe that fits the SCDNR diameter and length requirements. Buy pvc cement, an end cap, a female adapter and male insert. Cement the cap on one end, stuff the pipe with as much of a pool noodle as will fit. Cement the female adapter on the open end. Screw in the male cap. Drill a hole large enough for the trap rope in the square protruding from the male adapter. Paint that sucker yellow and call it a day… especially if you are going in the morning. Good luck, let me know how y’all do. I’m heading down to Buck Hall October 19th for the weekend. Will be setting pots myself.

the seewee outpost is only about 5-7 miles down the road from buck hall toward mt. p. only another 10 minutes one way.

Thanks, y’all.

I dug around in the shop tonight and guess what I found? Yup – three of them!

My other problem is that I have lost my “binder/folder thing” with all of my leaders and lots of terminal tackle. I’m takin’ some rods, just in case, but I’m outta some good stuff.

I’ll try Bull’s Bay Supply and see if they have any decent poppin’ cork rigs.

Again, I appreciate the help! Leavin’ here at 0500. About to hit the sack!
